Yuvraj and Dhoni drove India to a 6 wicket victory
Ind 230-4 (Yuvraj 78, Dhoni 71*) bt Aus 229-5 (Hussey 81*, Ponting 59) by 6 wickets

Ponting once again failed to make a correct decision after winning the toss.Aussies batted first on a slow Kotla pitch, with Pine returning home with injury Ponting promoted himself to the opening slot.He along side Watson provided a good 72 run opening partnership, that was broken by Yuvraj who sent Watson back to the Pavilion for 41.Hussey joined Ponting who was already at the crease, this pair added another 56 runs to 2nd wicket.Ponting made 59(92) and was caught in front of the wickets by Jadeja.Aussies middle order gave a little support to Hussey who is at the other end .Finally he drove them to a reasonable total of 229-5 in 50 overs and stood unbeaten on 81 of 82 deliveries.India slowly started the chase with Sehwag looking uncomfortable at the crease,on the other end Sachin was pretty confident scoring 2 boundaries in the first over he faced. We rarely see Sehwag taking 25 deliveries for 11 runs,he also didn't last long and fell to Johnson.Sachin was run-out by Johnson after making 32,another local boy Gambhir who was in good form in the first two ODI's fell for 6 runs. Then Yuvraj and Dhoni added 148 for the 4th wicket and that was the match winning partnership for India.Yuvraj fell after scoring 78(96),but
Dhoni finished things standing till the end with 71*(96),with 10 balls to spare and 6 wickets remaining India beat Australia in the 3rd ODI and lead the 7 match ODI series 2-1.Yuvraj,for hi 76(95),1-30 in 8 overs was named player of the match.
