India sealed the test series 2-1 along with World No.1 title
India 726-9 dec (Sehwag 293, Dhoni 100*) bt Sri Lanka 393 (Dilshan 109, Mathews 99, Harbhajan 4-112) & 309 (Sangakkara 137, Paranavitana 54, Zaheer 5-72) by an innings and 24 runs
India became World No.1 in tests by beating Srilanka in the 3 match test series 2-0.Brilliant batting performance from Virender Sehwag made series win quite easy for India.Sehwag was named the Player of the match in the third test and was also the Player of the series.Harbhajan chipped in with some wickets in the final match,so as the Zaheer picked up 5 for in the 3rd test and got his form back after his comeback.In total India clearly displayed its dominance over Srilanka through out the series.
